CHORD - DAVE

Thay cho giải pháp sử dụng chip giải mã có sẵn trên thị trường của các tên tuổi thông dụng như Burr Brown của TI hay Sabre của ESS, Chord đi theo hướng sử dụng chip - mảng cổng khả trình dạng trường FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) và dùng phần mềm chuyên biệt riêng của hãng để xử lý tất cả các công đoạn từ việc tách và lọc tín hiệu số đầu vào, re-clock rồi chuyển tới mạch giải mã kiểu pulse array DAC và bộ khuếch đại công suất kỹ thuật số ở đầu ra. Đây cũng chính là đặc điểm giúp phân biệt một bộ DAC của Chord với những bộ DAC khác.

DAVE cũng được trang bị bộ lọc nguồn cao cấp cùng với khả năng tương thích với các định dạng âm thanh số độ phân giải cao mới nhất như PCM - DXD 32bit / 768kHz và DSD256. Hệ thống các ngõ vào và ra bao gồm đầy đủ các giao tiếp chuẩn audiophile như ngõ vào coax BNC, AES/EBU, TOSlink và USB audio 2.0; Ngõ ra analog XLR và RCA. Ngoài ra còn có cổng dành cho headphone loại 6mm.

DAVE has a full-sized LCD display, showing input, sample frequency, volume and set-up configurations options, within Chord’s famous porthole design. On its fascia, DAVE also features a rotary encoder with a large stainless steel controller and ball buttons, enabling direct interactivity in addition to the supplied remote control.
